Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton Keeps Rolling – Close Enemies Adds 2025 Tour Dates

Close Enemies

Aerosmith retired from touring in 2024, leaving bassist Tom Hamilton plenty of time to work on side projects. He’s been performing with Close Enemies since October, and now he’s stretching the band’s live dates to the summer and fall. They’ve also released their second single, called “Inside Out”.

“‘Inside Out’ puts the feeling of a whirlwind toxic relationship into three-plus glorious minutes,” Close Enemies states. “The speedball beginning, the narcotic-fueled middle, and the inevitably spectacular crash landing end — it’s all there in the song.”

The upcoming tour consists of three weekends in June, August, and October. The first two legs will focus on the Midwest, with the October run focusing on New York and Massachusetts.

Hamilton’s return to club dates has been a pleasant reminder of the old days, he said in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock. “This is like going back to the beginning,” he says. “You know, we don’t have any previous albums. We’re going to be riding around in vans, probably, and flying commercial, just like when Aerosmith started — and I’m looking forward to that. There’s a certain camaraderie with that.”
