The New G&L JB, Built with a Bass Veteran, Channels Leo Fender’s Legacy
G&L Guitars has teamed up with bass veteran Pancho Tomaselli to create the Pancho Tomaselli Signature JB. The bassist, who has toured with Tower of Power and WAR, worked with the company to fit their JB model with G&L’s Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups.
“The result is… a bass that blends Leo Fender’s groundbreaking pickup technology with the beloved JB design, providing musicians with a wide palette of tones suitable for any musical situation or style,” G&L writes.
The Pancho Tomaselli Signature JB is crafted with an alder body in a Jet Black finish matched by an ebony fingerboard. Its MFD jazz pickups are controlled with a volume, volume, tone knob layout. Other features include a G&L Saddle Lock bridge, custom G&L “Ultra-Lite” tuners, and 20 medium jumbo frets.
