Michael Pipoquinha Showcases His Voice and Bass Work on ‘Lugar Comum’ Live

I’ve been following Michael Pipoquinha for years now, and he never fails to blow me away. This live cut of “Lugar Comum” from Musig im Pflegidach in Muri, Switzerland is no exception. Pipoquinha is in full command here, grooving hard, stretching out melodically, and locking in tight with a seriously deep band.

He’s joined by Thiago Almeida Sousa on keys, Josue Lopez on sax, and Renato Galvão on drums. The vibe is relaxed but focused, and you can feel the connection between the players.
