Mayones Guitars & Basses has announced the addition of Jinjer bassist Eugene Abdukhanov to their artist roster. The bassist is now playing their latest Jabba Bassic 5 VF bass.

“After many years of recording music and playing worldwide tours, growing as musicians, we are always looking for better sound, better comfort – something that fits us perfectly here and now. We always keep in mind that a musical instrument is a tool that helps you express yourself,” Abdukhanov states. “So when I first grabbed the Jabba, I instantly felt this was exactly what I need right now. With a midrange that cuts through the guitar wall, a “rail” tone that stays consistent across the entire fretboard, perfect comfort, and of course, stunning looks – the Mayones Jabba is the only instrument that can truly help me grow and move forward on my musical path at this moment.”

The Jabba Bassic VF bass is a five-string bass built with a sassafras body, a hard rock maple neck, and a pau ferro fingerboard. It has a multi-scale neck that runs from 33 inches to 35 inches. The electronics include Velvetrone Noble VF pickups and a Musashi Nitōryū preamp that features a 1/8” Stereo Jack Aux Input, a Headphone out, and a rechargeable internal power supply.

Jinjer is a Ukrainian heavy metal band formed in 2009. Abdukhanov joined the fold in 2011 and is featured on all of the band’s albums save for a 2009 EP. His use of a five-string bass is cited as a huge factor in the band’s sound as they only have one guitarist. Their latest album, Duél, was released in February.
