Hadrien Feraud Pushes the Boundaries with Whoevazntawn and His Signature Mayones
Hadrien Feraud brought the fire in a recent performance with Whoevazntawn, recorded at the Recording Club. He played both his signature Mayones Jabba and a Ken Smith, switching between tones with precision and purpose. His sound ran through a Markbass amp, giving him clarity, punch, and headroom across the set.
The band featured Robert “Sput” Searight on drums, Nate Werth on percussion, Bob Reynolds on saxophone, Carlinhos Rocha on guitar, and a full keyboard rig. They moved fluidly between fusion, funk, and modern jazz, with Feraud leading from the center.
His lines were sharp and melodic, always in motion but never overplayed. It was a strong set from a player in full command.
