Carrtoons Channels Vintage Funk on New Track “Thursday Disco” and Upcoming Album, “Space Cadet”

Bassist Ben Carr, aka Carrtoons, has some big news. He’s just announced a new album called Space Cadet that will be dropping this fall, and he’s getting the party started early with the new single, “Thursday Disco”, featuring Haile Supreme.
The song has everything that you love about Carrtoons: vintage sounds, great bass tone, and nothing but pocket. After just one song, we can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.
In addition to the single, Carr will be taking his band on the road for some select dates. He’ll be appearing at the Newport Jazz Festival in August, then pick things up again at the end of September with a three-night run at Brooklyn’s Isola. In October, Carrtoons will hit DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. See below for the full tour dates.
“Thursday Disco” is streaming now on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other platforms.
