Maximum Frequency rolled through Chicago Music Exchange and absolutely tore the place up. This is a trio built from the backbone of the Trey Anastasio Band, with Dezron Douglas on bass, Russ Lawton on drums, and Ray Paczkowski on keys. No frills. Just raw groove and pocket from start to finish.
Dezron is the star here. He’s locked in from the first note, driving the set with his signature feel and fire. He’s playing a custom Skjold bass that sings in all the right ways. Round lows. Crisp highs. And all the attitude you’d expect from a player with that much command.
