Schaller M4 90 & M4 180 Locking Tuners Offer Quick Restringing, Stable Tuning, and Four Color Options

Schaller M4 90 and M4 180 Locking Tuners

Schaller has unveiled two new hardware options for bassists with the M4 90 and M4 180 Locking Tuners. Each model has locking mechanisms that allow for quick restringing and stable tuning.

“Insert and secure the string, no need for multiple string winding,” Schaller writes. “Locking-tuners usually stay perfectly tuned even after days. Shorter locked strings, with fewer windings, have less room for string stretching.”

The M4 90 & M4 180 Locking Tuners have 20:1 gear ratios for sensitive tuning. The main difference between the two models is the orientation of the screw lugs, at 90° and 180°. Other features include a lightweight and enclosed design, Pure Sound Brass posts, and four colors: Nickel, Chrome, Black, and Gold.

Schaller’s new M4 90 and M4 180 Locking Tuners are available now with prices starting at approximately $35 for a single tuner and $139 for a four-tuner set.
