Schaller Adds Drop-In Tuners for Music Man & Rickenbacker Basses

Schaller BM Music Man and Rickenbacker-Style Tuners

Schaller has long offered replacement bass tuners in their BM lineup of products. They’ve expanded the series to include the BM Music Man and BM Rickenbacker styles alongside their existing BM Schaller and BM Fender models.

Both new tuner styles have the line’s characteristic cloverleaf shape with a gear ratio of 1:20 for fine tuning.

“A real special feature of these machine heads, however, is the simple conversion from left to right or vice versa from right to left, depending on the desired arrangement on the headstock (3+2, 3+1, 2+2, etc.),” Schaller explains. “Simply loosen the screw from the worm gear, lift out worm gear, turn around the worm screw with the button, reinsert the worm gear again and tighten the screw.”

Each of the tuners can be ordered in Nickel, Chrome, Black, or Gold finishes. The BM Rickenbacker models are suitable for drop-in replacements for the 4003, 4003S, and 4003S/5. Similarly, the BM Music Man fits right-handed StingRay, Sterling, Joe Dart, Cutlass, and Caprice bass models. They will also fit older Bongo, Big Al, and Reflex basses.

The Schaller BM Music Man and BM Rickenbacker tuners are available now, and prices start at $27.75 per tuner.
