Watch: Scary Goldings’ “Fünf” Kicks Off with Ferocious Slap Bass Fury

Scary Goldings has released the official video for “Fünf,” the second single from their upcoming album The Holy Enchilada. It wastes no time getting to the point.

The track kicks off with an in-your-face slap bass intro by Kaveh Rastegar that immediately locks your attention. Rastegar’s tone is fierce, and the groove hits hard. It’s a bold start to a track that doesn’t let up.

Rastegar brings plenty of experience to the table. He co-founded the band Kneebody, toured with John Legend, served as musical director for Sia, and recorded with artists like Shania Twain, Beck, and Bruce Springsteen. His solo work shows just how deep his musical range goes.

Joining him on this one are Ryan Lerman on guitar, Jack Conte on keys, and Kane Ritchotte on drums. The group keeps things tight, funky, and full of character.

No Treble CEO Jody Miller is a Chicago-based bassist, guitarist, engineer, and producer best known for his bass gear demo videos and as the co-host of The Bass Nerds podcast.
