Watch Muse’s Epic Pinkpop 2025 Medley: “Unravelling,” “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Starlight”

Muse returned to Pinkpop this summer with a set that fused their cinematic flair with raw festival energy. Early in the show, the trio moved from the haunting piano-led “Unravelling” into the heavy-hitting “Supermassive Black Hole” and the anthemic “Starlight.”

Chris Wolstenholme drove the performance with his unmistakable tone. A mainstay of Muse since the very beginning, he is regarded as one of modern rock’s most distinctive bassists. Playing his trusted Status Graphite basses, Wolstenholme laid down the grinding, fuzz-soaked riff of “Supermassive Black Hole” that sent the crowd into motion. On “Starlight,” his melodic playing lifted Matt Bellamy’s soaring vocals and showed the other side of his range, balancing aggression with lyricism.

Even in a massive festival setting filled with lights and pyrotechnics, it was Wolstenholme’s bass lines that gave the medley its momentum. His sound remains a cornerstone of Muse’s live identity, standing tall alongside the spectacle.
