IK Multimedia Expands TONEX Line With New Bass Editions and Signature Collection

IK Multimedia TONX Bass Pedals

IK Multimedia has launched the TONEX Bass Editions, including a new TONEX Signature bass collection and two new physical pedals for bassists: the TONEX Pedal Bass Edition and the TONEX ONE Bass Edition. Both of the new pedals are loaded with Tone Models and presets from the new collection.

“Discover a curated collection of 150 Tone Models that cover every style, from clean DI-friendly amps and classic tube stacks to modern solid-state punch and popular bass drives,” the company writes. “Highlights include captures based on Ampeg SVT-CL/VR/2-Pro, Fender Bassman models (’53, ’59, 100, 300), Markbass, Orange AD200, Gallien-Krueger RB/2001/Fusion, Trace Elliot, Darkglass heads and pedals, Tech 21 SH1/PSA/DP-3X/YYZ, ProCo RAT variants, and more.”

The larger TONEX Pedal Bass Edition features controls for tweaking the parameters of each model. Its presets are organized into 50 banks, each centered around a specific amp model with three tone options per bank. It also has 15 on-board effects for further versatility.

The TONEX ONE Bass Edition pares things down in size and scope, offering 20 presets in a more pedalboard-friendly housing. Similar to its bigger sibling, it still includes the TONEX Bass Collection, TONEX CS, TONEX Modeler, and TONEX Editor. AmpliTube 5, AmpliTube SVX 1 & 2 Collections.

“Both TONEX pedals for bass feature a rugged aluminum chassis for reliable performance,” IK Multimedia adds. “With 24-bit, 192 kHz processing, an extremely wide 5 Hz – 24 kHz response, and a whisper-quiet 123 dB noise floor, they ensure any bass sounds as good as it ever has- even before it hits TONEX’s incredible modeling.”

The IK Multimedia Signature Bass Collection is available as a download for $99, while the TONEX Pedal Bass Edition and TONEX ONE Bass Edition are shipping for $429 and $199, respectively.
