Davie504, Charles Berthoud & Danny Sapko Face Off in the Ultimate BEHS Battle
This one is pure fun. Davie504, Charles Berthoud and Danny Sapko got together for a new video called BEHS Battle, and it is exactly what you hope for. Three monster players showing what they do best.
Davie brings the slap and jokes. Charles adds smooth tapping and crazy runs. Danny keeps it heavy and groovy underneath it all. They trade ideas, push each other and keep it all feeling loose and musical.
It never feels serious. It is just three bass players having a blast, throwing ideas around and seeing who can take it further. There is great playing, lots of smiles and plenty of inspiration.

I like the fact that Davie plays relatively inexpensive instruments. I have long maintained that technique is the number one factor in obtaining good tone. You can obtain great tone out of lesser expensive basses (that are made well and have good playable necks) by upgrading strings, pickups and electronics. You end up with a fabulous player for far less money than a boutique or signature bass.
