Up the Irons: Iron Maiden Returns to North America for “Run For Your Lives” 50th-Anniversary Tour

Up the Irons: Iron Maiden is coming back to North America in 2026! The heavy metal pioneers announced the “Run For Your Lives” world tour, which will continue celebrating their 50th anniversary by bringing them to stadiums and major amphitheaters across the continent. Megadeth and Anthrax will join for the journey, making it a chance to see bass legends Steve Harris, James LoMenzo, and Frank Bello in one night.
“We are greatly looking forward to bringing this RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR to North America and hope the fans enjoy seeing the show and hearing the set list as much as we do playing it,” says Harris. “It’s an added bonus to have a few of our good friends on the tour with us. MEGADETH are playing all the shows and it’s an honour to have them join us on their last ever tour. We also have Anthrax with us on the bigger shows, we had a great time with them when they came out with us on Ed Force One around the world in 2016. We’re delighted to have both bands with us for this tour and know our fans will enjoy seeing them.”
The “Run for Your Lives” tour showcases the band’s legacy with a set list that spans their five-decade career. Bruce Dickinson says, “We’ve got all the big ones from that early period including Hallowed, Run To The Hills, Trooper, Number Of The Beast, Killers, Powerslave, 2 Minutes… and some of them we haven’t played in the US for over 20 years!! Plus there’s some real epics including my particular favourite ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and Seventh Son… We are doing them all and more. I mean, who wouldn’t for a 50th birthday party!”
Aside from their 50th anniversary, this tour will also mark 45 years since the band first performed in Canada and the USA on their 1981 Killer World tour.
The “Run For Your Lives” North American tour will kick off on August 26th in Toronto, Ontario. After visiting Montreal, they will head into the States and focus on the East Coast before a pair of dates in the Midwest. They’ll hit Los Angeles, California before wrapping things up at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on September 29th.
For working bassists, this tour is a study in contrasting tone philosophies — Harris’s midrange punch, LoMenzo’s modern grind, and Bello’s pick attack all demonstrate different solutions to the same problem: cutting through high-gain guitars at stadium volume. Don’t miss out on this low-end masterclass!
