Fender Marks Iron Maiden’s 50 Years With Limited Steve Harris Precision Bass

Iron Maiden has been celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and now Fender is getting in on the party. They’ve announced the Iron Maiden 50th Anniversary Collection, featuring a limited edition version of signature instruments for Dave Murray, Janick Gers, and the mighty Steve Harris.

“Honoring Iron Maiden’s fifty years of pushing heavy metal forward, this collection brings together the signature instruments that helped define their unmistakable sound,” said Max Gutnik, FMIC’s chief product officer. “From Dave Murray’s high-performance Stratocaster models and Janick Gers’s energetic, vintage-leaning Strat to Steve Harris’s unmistakable Precision Bass and Adrian Smith’s versatile Jackson SC1, each instrument carries the tone, feel, and power behind MAIDEN’s multi-guitar attack. These anniversary models are more than tributes; they are stage-ready tools built to inspire today’s players and the next generation.”

Harris has had a signature bass with Fender for a while, but the anniversary edition has a few different features. Notably, the new model comes in a satin black finish to match the rest of the models in the series, although it still has his mirrored pickguard. The hardware is vintage spec to fit the era, and the pickup is slightly different, too.

“He asked specifically for an 80s-voiced P-bass pickup, so we were trying to get a pickup that sounds most like that,” says Fender’s Eli Srouji, who worked on the project.

For final touches, the bass has Harris’ signature on the back of the headstock and a commemorative 50th anniversary neck plate. Fender also includes a set of Rotosound Steve Harris Signature flatwound strings in the gig bag.

The Fender Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Steve Harris Precision Bass is available now for $1,699.99.

Looks like a basic Sonic P Bass

  2. I’ve been using these tip jars from GEEX DEPOT at my cafe, and they’ve been fantastic! The clear plastic is sturdy, and the removable bottom makes emptying them a breeze. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for something practical and easy to maintain.
