Aerosmith Bassist Tom Hamilton Announces January 2026 Tour With Close Enemies

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton will be back on the road with his new band, Close Enemies, in 2026. The group will be visiting California, Georgia, and Florida for the entire month of January.
Things kick off on the 2nd in San Juan Capistrano, California, at the Coach House. After a week, they will jump to Atlanta, Georgia before heading to wrap things up with another week in Florida.
Hamilton, who is known for his iconic bass lines like “Sweet Emotion,” has been performing with Close Enemies since Aerosmith retired from touring in 2024. The band has released several singles, but they will also be mixing in some of the bassist’s older material.
“You know, as far I’m concerned, ethically, it had to be songs that I had co-written. It’s not like we’re going to get up there and play ‘Walk This Way,’ ‘Dream On’ [and songs like that].” he told Ultimate Classic Rock in 2024. “[But] ‘Sick as a Dog,’ I’ve been dying to play that song live for so long. I was having trouble getting the guys in Aerosmith to put it in the set. I realized, ‘Alright, this is my chance! Now I get to hear that song on stage again.'”
Their most recent release is “More Than I Could Ever Need.” Check out Hamilton’s burly old-school tone:
