Haken Announce Departure of Charlie Griffiths and Longtime Bassist Conner Green

The English prog-metal band Haken has announced a shakeup in its ranks with the departure of guitarist Charlie Griffiths and bassist Conner Green. Each member has been in the group for over a decade.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of Charlie Griffiths and Conner Green from Haken,” the band wrote on Facebook. “We are tremendously grateful for the time we’ve spent together, creating music and touring the world, achieving things we thought weren’t possible. Both Charlie and Conner are irreplaceable, as musicians and individuals, and they have given so much to make this band what it is today. We cannot thank them enough, but we wish them all the best with any future endeavours. They will always be a part of the Haken family.”
They ended the message by adding that they have new music coming this year.
Green joined Haken in 2014 after original bassist Thomas MacLean left the ranks. He is featured on the albums Affinity, Vector, Virus, and Fauna, as well as two live albums: L-1VE and Liveforms.

Haken has not announced replacement members and does not have any tour dates listed for the year. We’ll keep you updated with details as they become available.
