Bass Magazine Is About to Take Over NAMM Week With One of 2026’s Biggest Bass Events

Bass magazine awards 2026

The 2026 Bass Magazine Awards are coming up fast, and this is already shaping up to be one of the biggest bass events of the year during NAMM Show week.

I personally attended the awards last year and was completely blown away. The performances were wild, the room was packed with world class players, and the energy felt different from any other music event I have been to. It did not feel like a standard awards show. It felt like the bass world gathering in one place to celebrate itself.

Seeing Tool, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, and Primus in such an intimate setting was genuinely special. It was a great night to rub elbows with some of the biggest bass players in the world and feel how tight and passionate the bass community really is.

This year is lining up to be even bigger. Confirmed honorees include Les Claypool, Mike Dirnt, and Marcus Miller, along with Future of Bass recipients Laura Lee and Blu DeTiger. Expected attendees also include Rob Trujillo, Justin Chancellor, Pops Magellan, and Vincent Garcia, with Victor Wooten also involved as a presenter.

Everything points to this being a bigger room, a deeper roster, and an even stronger sense that this is where the bass world shows up during NAMM week.

I will be there again. And if you are part of the bass world, chances are you will be there too.
