Watch: NAMM 2026 – Pops Magellan Lights Up the Music Man Booth with “Funk Karma”
Pops Magellan made a standout appearance at NAMM 2026 with a live performance at the Ernie Ball Music Man booth. Backed by guitarist Artur Menezes and drummer Julian Ho, the trio laid down “Funk Karma,” a deep-grooving track from Pops’ newly released album Damage.
Armed with her signature sparkle-finish Music Man bass, Pops delivered tight lines and heavily effected tones that felt equal parts funk clinic and possible extraterrestrial transmission. Rumors continue to circulate that Pops may not be from this planet, but if she is an alien, she’s clearly here to advance low-end technology.
This performance followed her appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards where she also took the stage, making NAMM weekend a major moment for fans of her bold, bass-driven sound and for anyone tracking unexplained funk phenomena.
