Danny Ziemann Announces Final Free Ear-Training Masterclass, “The 3D Listener”

Danny Ziemann by Viktoria Hofmarcher

Bassist and renowned educator Danny Ziemann is a master of ear training. After giving many incredible online masterclasses over the years, he’s announced his final one – and it’s free.

“The 3D Listener” is a free two-day event to “cultivate clear, vivid listening skills – on and off the stage.” The training will be held on Zoom on February 21st and 22nd from 12pm to 1:30m Eastern Time. Ziemann will teach you how to maximize the information you can get from a recording, including identifying harmony, melody, depth, space, and balance.

“My belief is that diving into recordings is the best way to strengthen listening chops,” he explains. “Combining my experience as an educator, performer, and recording engineer, I give people a practical blueprint for developing functional listening skills, so they can make progress anywhere. I’m excited to share this because I haven’t seen these listening skills taught anywhere in mainstream ear-training, and they’re particularly relevant for bassists! It’s also my last free online event before stepping away from teaching.”

Again, this will be his final online event for the foreseeable future as he focuses on touring and recording, so be sure to join in! Visit The 3D Listener website for more details and to sign up.
