Mastodon Unleash “Blood and Thunder” at Bloodstock 2025
Troy Sanders and Mastodon are in full beast mode in this pro shot performance of “Blood and Thunder” from Bloodstock Open Air 2025. The band hit the stage as special guests for headliners Gojira and delivered the kind of crushing set you would expect from one of modern metal’s most influential bands.
The track opens with that unmistakable Mastodon riff before Sanders digs in on his signature Fender Troy Sanders Jaguar Bass and locks in with the drums. His gritty bass tone and ferocious vocals drive are what Mastodon is all about. Sanders looks completely at home commanding the low end as the band tears through the track with huge energy and a crowd that is clearly loving every second.
If you like your bass loud, aggressive, and right in the middle of a wall of metal, this one is a blast.
