Megadeth’s “Holy Wars” Still Hits Hard and David Ellefson Proves It
David Ellefson dropped a playalong for Megadeth’s “Holy Wars” and it is ridiculous watching one of the original architects rip through his own parts like it is nothing. The speed, the attack, the right hand stamina is all still absurd.
Gear nerd note: Ellefson is playing his signature 5 string Jackson loaded with his signature EMG pickups, which is pretty much the exact recipe for that sharp, aggressive tone fans know instantly. Also, hearing the bass this exposed is a reminder these Megadeth lines were never just following guitars.
My forearm hurts just watching this.
