Scott Shriner Brings the P Bass Punch on Weezer’s New Wednesday Collaboration

Weezer has shared the official video for “We Might As Well Be Strangers,” a new single featuring Wednesday. The track pairs Rivers Cuomo with Wednesday vocalist Karly Hartzman, making for a fun and fuzzy meeting of two indie rock worlds.

Bassist Scott Shriner is right where we like to see him, holding it down with his trusty vintage Fender Precision Bass. His tone gives the song that classic Weezer foundation, big, direct, and just gritty enough to push the track forward.  “We Might As Well Be Strangers” is taken from the band’s upcoming self titled album, also known as The Gold Album, which is set for release on August 21.
