Angine de Poitrine Brings Microtonal Low-End Mayhem to Jools Holland

Angine de Poitrine are having a moment, and their latest stop was a big one. The Quebec duo made their Later with Jools Holland debut with a performance of “Sarniezz,” a track from their album Vol. II.

The group has already become a favorite with No Treble readers thanks to their bizarre blend of microtonal guitar, crushing low end, looping, and off kilter grooves.  “Sarniezz” shows exactly why Angine de Poitrine are blowing up. It is strange, intense, and completely their own thing. Somehow, it also grooves hard.
