Four Modern Masters Unite: John Patitucci, Emmet Cohen, Chris Potter, and Johnathan Blake

John Patitucci joined Emmet Cohen, Chris Potter, and Johnathan Blake for a killer episode of Live From Emmet’s Place.

The livestream, “Modern Masters: Chris Potter, John Patitucci & Johnathan Blake,” runs for over two hours and features Patitucci on upright bass for the entire set. That alone makes this one worth carving out some time for.  Patitucci is a living legend, and this performance is another reminder of why. His lines are deep in the pocket and his solos are beautifully melodic, giving Cohen and Potter plenty of room to stretch out over the top. This is jazz at the highest level.

There are plenty of bass moments throughout with several outstanding solos from Patitucci.
