RhPf Electronics Regista Brings Rupert Neve-Inspired EQ to Your Pedalboard
Swiss pedal company RhPf Electronics has introduced a new model called the Regista, a parametric mid-range EQ based on a circuit by Rupert Neve in the Amek Mozart MZ15-RN. The state-variable filter has a six-octave sweep, continuously variable Q, and ±18 dB of gain. It has a frequency range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz, making it useful for bass, guitar, keyboards, and more.
“With Regista you can add weight, tighten clarity, or bring a line forward with authority. It can be subtle and corrective or bold and expressive depending on how you set it. Low zones add body. The central zone opens the voice of the guitar. Higher zones sharpen presence without harshness. Everything feels natural because the ranges follow how the ear hears,” the company writes.
The Regista has four controls. Drive boosts or cuts the selected mids, Shape sets the bandwidth, Zone sweeps the mid frequency, and Level is used as the post-EQ recovery gain. “Carve as deep as you want and come back with full presence,” RhPf says.
The RhPf Electronics Regista is available now for $339.
