Watch Dominic Davis Tear Through Two Songs With Jack White at Pine Knob

I’ve been on a bit of a Dominic Davis kick lately. I recently got to hang with Dominic in Chicago at a Third Man and Reverb event before Jack White’s show at The Salt Shed. Third Man Hardware was showing off a new pedal, and Jack sat down for a Q&A before the show.

Jack White & crew returned home to Michigan on July 25 for a sold out show at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston. It was his first time headlining the legendary venue, which made the hometown show feel like an especially big one and of course I was watching Dominic. He’s got his vintage Fender Jazz Bass in hand, running through a big Ampeg stack, and sounding fantastic. Patrick Keeler is on drums and Bobby Emmett is on keys, and this band has clearly gotten very comfortable playing together. Dominic is locked in and sounds killer throughout.

There’s a lot going on in the Jack White world right now, too. The band is out supporting Frozen Charlotte, and they just dropped a new music video as well. But this clip checks all the boxes for me. A Detroit hometown show, Dominic on a vintage Jazz Bass, an Ampeg stack behind him, and a band that is seriously locked in.

Check out the video below and if you have an extra few minutes, HERE is a clip from our interview with Dominic last year at Riot Fest.
