Spector’s One-of-One Custom Shop Bass Will Benefit Breast Cancer Research

Spector has unveiled a special one-of-one Custom Shop bass to benefit breast cancer research. The piece coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month to draw attention and provide financial support for the cause. Spector is auctioning the bass on its website. Bidding is open now and will close on October 20th at 8 p.m., with 100% of the winning bid donated directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The bass is built on the company’s NS-2 4-string neck-through model and has chambered maple wings, a three-piece maple neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Its body and neck are given an Artisan Custom Rose Gold Sparkle high gloss finish. Spector’s Mother of Pearl crown inlays are complemented by a pink recon stone ribbon inlaid at the 12th fret.
The bass also features EMG-P/SJ pickups, an internal 9-volt Spector HAZ preamp system, a lightweight aluminum bridge, and Spector-branded Gotoh tuners.
“As an added inclusion for the auction winner, the instrument also comes with a limited-edition Aguilar Breast Cancer Awareness AG preamp/DI,” a press release explains. “The pedal is an incredibly flexible tool for shaping tone both on stage and in the studio. Taking its cues from Aguilar’s beloved AG series, the Aguilar Breast Cancer Awareness AG Preamp/DI Pedal features a 4-band EQ with foot-switchable ‘Deep/Bright’ and ‘Engage’ controls to boost and expand that tone. Gain, Treble, High Mid, Low Mid, Bass, and Volume controls dial in that perfect tone time after time. Its 18-volt operation allows for clean and transparent tone. This unit also features built-in headphone out and aux in with an XLR balanced DI out with pre/post and ground lift controls.”
Bidding for Spector’s One-of-One Custom Shop Rose Sparkle Bass is open now. Visit Spector’s website for more details.
