Watch Robert Trujillo Take On “And Justice for All” at Sphere in Las Vegas
We just shared Metallica’s performance of “The Call of Ktulu” from the opening night of their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere. Now the band has released another clip from the October 1st show.
This time, they take on “…And Justice for All,” which returned to the set that night for the first time in more than 12 years.
Robert Trujillo is armed with his custom metallic gold mirrored Warwick bass. It also looks incredible against the massive production inside Sphere. The original …And Justice for All is infamous for how little of Jason Newsted’s bass made it into the final mix. Nearly four decades later, it is especially satisfying to hear Trujillo digging into the title track live.
The visuals go deep into the album’s imagery as well, with the enormous Lady Justice figure known as Doris towering over the band before being torn apart as the song reaches its climax.
