Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” has always been a favorite of mine, pretty much exclusively because of Tony Levin’s epic bass line. Here’s a clip of the band performing the tune at the Fila Forum in Milan, in 2003. (And a bonus video!)

Since David Sanborn’s “Sanborn Sessions” debuted, I’m always looking forward to a new episode. In session #3, the band was joined by Jonatha Brooke and Charlie Hunter to perform Brooke’s song, “Inconsolable.” Ben Williams once again is on bass.

The Martin Miller Session Band is back with another cover. This time around, the group performs their take on Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Benni Jud pulls double duty on this one, handling the bass and lead vocals.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Zander Zon grabbed his fretless and put together an amazing arrangement of Bonnie Raitt hit, “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”

Miki Santamaria just shared this video from a 2015 recording session for Drew De Four’s Decade album. The tune is fantastic, the band is fantastic, and it is all made even better with an epic solo by Miki.

Relix just published this video from a 2006 show at The Jammys, and it is our kind of video. In this clip, Les Claypool, Mike Gordon, and Phil Lesh team up for this performance of “D’s Diner.”
