Stanley Clarke Joins Heads Up

Legendary bassist Stanley Clarke has joined Heads Up International to pursue various audio and video opportunities. Clarke joins a roster including Mike Stern, the Jaco Pastorius Word of Mouth Big Band, Walter Beasley and the Yellowjackets. Cleveland-based Heads Up, which is a division of Telarc, plans to produce and release Clarke’s albums and videos over the next few years.

Van Halen adds another Van Halen

Rock group Van Halen has a new bass player.    Fifteen year old Wolfgang Van Halen, son of guitarist Edward Van Halen has replaced longtime bassist Michael Anthony, who left the band earlier this year. I think that brings us to 3 Van Halens, and one singer, but I have no idea who that is these days.
