BassTival returns for 2025 with Hellborg, Pilichowski, and Hendriks leading a full day of performances, workshops, and gear in rural Germany.

David Sutkin and Wojtek Pilichowski have impressed us with their videos over the years, and they’ve just dropped another. Joined by Michelle Kuban on lead vocals, Jana Neumann on backing vocals, Lukas Kuban on drums, Adrian Maruszczyk on bass, they perform The Beatles tune, “Rain.”

After a sweet version of “Kashmir,” David Sutkin and Adrian Maruszczyk have teamed up again to recreate a classic song with dual basses. Maruszczyk’s children Lukas Kuban and Michelle Kuban join in on percussion and vocals on their version of “Wish You Were Here.”

We’ve shared videos by Wojtek Pilichowski and Adrian Maruszczyk before, and we’ve always loved watching the duo. Istvan Csury sent this new clip of them performing the Tears for Fears song, “Mad World” - with some unique percussion by Lukas Kuban.

Led Zeppelin’s classic “Kashmir” features an epic arrangement filled out with strings, horns, and a mellotron. David Sutkin, Lukas Kuban and Adrian Maruszczyk decided to take things the other way by rocking it out with two basses and a drumset.

We’ve featured the duo of Wojtek Pilichowski and Adrian Maruszczyk before, and we’re always impressed with these guys. Here they are performing Wojtek’s groovy composition, “Nowe Buty”.

Bassists Wojtek Pilichowski and Adrian Maruszczyk got together to record this bass duo, and it is absolutely fantastic. I especially love the unison lines and those solos.

Adrian Maruszczyk (the bassist on the right) shared this video with us of a blues duet he did with bassist Arnold Ogrodnik. It isn’t often you see bass played with a slide, but I dig it. How about you?
