Karl Clews is back with another catchy solo bass pop tune cover. This time he’s given the treatment to Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill,” covering the bass line, melody and harmony all at once. Clews utilizes a variety of picking, slapping and strumming techniques to fill the song out and keep you wondering how he manages it all.

I discovered this video of Rob Mullarkey thanks to Steve Lawson, who called it “properly beautiful.” Rob took “Just My Imagination” – his all time favorite Temptations track – and improvised over it using only his “Lakland 44-51 and an old Boss RC2 looper pedal.” Properly beautiful indeed.
