Evan Marien has shared another video from his show with drummer Dana Hawkins at Mondriaan Jazz. In this clip, the duo performs “OC,” which appeared on Marien’s Here We Are EP. These guys always bring it.

We’re huge fans of Evan Marien and have been for some time. Check out his latest single, entitled “Iceland,” and you’ll see why. The band includes Julian Pollack on synths, Isamu McGregor on piano, Devin Collins on drums, and of course, Evan on bass. I really dig the use of the Hot Hand. The genesis of bassist/multi-instrumentalist Evan Marien’s new EP comes from a slightly unusual place. The instrumental electronic hip hop record, simply titled EP1, is inspired by 8-bit Nintendo music, according to the website for Marien, whose work is regularly featured in No Treble.
