Funk outfit Ghost-Note expands their tour with summer dates across the Northeast and Canada, including appearances at major jazz festivals.

Ghost-Note has released their third album, “Mustard n’Onions,” which – as you can imagine from the title – is a funky affair. That's thanks in part to bassists MonoNeon and Marcus Miller.

Ghost-Note has announced a new album. “Mustard n’Onions” will drop on April 19th. The band, led by Snarky Puppy’s Robert “Sput” Searlight, welcome a host of guests. MonoNeon handles most of the work, with Marcus Miller appearing on one track.

We’ve been watching Áron Hodek for a few years, and it has been an exciting journey. The 11-year-old bassist just shared a video of him sitting in with Ghost-Note. It is a great clip to learn more about him and see him lay it down with the group.

We’ve been waiting all week for the premiere of this Ghost-Note video, from their Live Acoustic Sugarshack Session. In this one, they perform their original tune, “Weedie B. Good”, and as usual, MonoNeon lays down the groove. Funky, as always!

I’m always psyched when a new Ghost-Note video drops. This one premiered yesterday, with the band performing a live acoustic set for Sugarshack Sessions. Here’s the band, with MonoNeon on bass, performing “Swagism”.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Zildjian LIVE! video series, but this is the one I was hoping would happen. In this clip, the legendary Dennis Chambers joins Ghost-Note (with MonoNeon on bass). This one is so great. Even the false start is great!

Here’s a recent video from Zildjian LIVE! series’ second season, which features drummer Marcus Gilmore performing with Ghost-Note. “Southern Spirits” is a tune written by Robert Sput Searight and features the always awesome MonoNeon on bass.
