Victor Wooten surprised everyone yesterday when he dropped a new Bass Extremes video with Steve Bailey. The duo is joined in this clip by Tool’s Justin Chancellor on “Just-in Time,” from the upcoming album, “S’Low Down.”

Tool has released “Opiate²”, a limited edition package that reimagines and extends their classic song “Opiate”. The set includes a Blu-Ray with the song, a short film, bonus features, and a 46-page hardcover artbook.

Ever since they first teased it in 2018, we’ve been dying to hear what the new Bass Extremes album will sound like. Now Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and Gregg Bissonette have unveiled more about it. They’ve also unveiled a set of tour dates.

Dunlop’s popular Cry Baby series just got a new model with the Justin Chancellor Wah. The Tool bassist’s new signature pedal actually has three effects baked in with a custom midrange filter, a custom wah circuit, and a vintage fuzz.

Tool is getting ready to hit the road again with a world tour that will cover the first five months of 2022. The trek will continue to support their 2019 release, “Fear Inoculum”, which features the monstrous bass work of Justin Chancellor.

The Berklee Bass Department’s weekly hangout will continue tomorrow. Hosted by Steve Bailey, Victor Wooten, and John Patitucci, the session this week will feature “Giants of Rock” with rhythm section members from four major bands.

Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten are continuing their Zoom webinar series this week with a roundtable of rock legends. The free event takes place tomorrow and will feature Justin Chancellor, Mike Gordon, Stefan Lessard, and Mike Inez.

Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten have organized an amazing bass hang, which is happening Thursday, April 16th. The free webinar is open to the public and will feature a conversation with Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson, Tool’s Justin Chancellor, and Billy Sheehan.

After announcing several smaller legs since the release of “Fear Inoculum,” Tool has announced a large scale North American tour that will take place in the spring and into the summer.

Tool has unveiled a new round of tour dates in the U.S. Northwest in support of their latest album, “Fear Inoculum.” They are also scheduled to headline Bonnaroo in June.

Tool’s current North American tour may be sold out, but if you don’t have tickets there is still hope. They’ve just announced a new leg of dates for early 2020 to continue supporting their recent and long-awaited album, “Fear Inoculum.”
