The Immediate Family has dropped a new track ahead of their fall tour. The band, featuring L.A. session legends and anchored by Leland Sklar, announced their cover of “The Toughest Girl in Town” by Sparks is the first single from their next album.

I’ve been spinning Lari Basilio’s “Your Love” quite a bit lately. Here’s the video for “All To You,” which features Leland Sklar’s tasty bass lines backing up the band that also includes Vinnie Colaiuta and Ester Na.

Leland Sklar shared a video last week, sharing his performance with Tracy Chapman on The Tonight Show in 1992. “Open Arms” is such a fantastic song made even sweeter by Lee’s tasty lines.

Leland Sklar posted this video on Facebook saying, “Loved our early beginnings! Innocent music...” What a wonderful clip this is of Lee performing “Rainy Day Man” live in 1971 with James Taylor and Russ Kunkel.

The Immediate Family is back with another EP following last year’s self-titled full-length record. “Live From Telefunken Soundstage” was captured at the microphone company’s headquarters in Connecticut in November 2021.

Last month, Joe Walsh joined forces with some heavy hitters in the music industry for his “VetsAid 2021: The Basement Show”. Here’s Walsh with Ringo Starr, Benmont Tench, Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, and Russ Kunkel performing “Funk #49”.

NFTs have been all the buzz lately, and now bass legend Lee Sklar has gotten in on the game. He’s teamed up with Cosmic Wire to release a collection of one-time-only digital NFTs that will be sold in packs similar to baseball cards.

Leland Sklar is known for his amazing playing as well as his big heart. The legendary session bassist is showing that once again by auctioning off one of his basses to benefit the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.

After releasing two EPs, Leland Sklar and The Immediate Family have dropped a full-length self-titled album. The new album was recorded over three days at Jackson Browne’s studio in Los Angeles and includes tracks from the previous releases.

It has been a while since we shared one of Leland Sklar’s videos. In this one, Lee plays along to one of his favorite tracks (“Everyday”) from James Taylor’s 1985 record, “That’s Why I’m Here”, and shares the story behind it.

After dropping their U.S. debut EP last fall, The Immediate Family has returned with a follow-up release. “Can’t Stop Progress” features all originals written by the band’s all-star lineup, including Leland Sklar.
