Chick Corea: “Spain” Live Downbeat Performance, with Stanley Clarke (1975)
So cool to see these guys back in the day, performing Chick Corea’s “Spain” following a Downbeat Reader’s Poll Award for Corea.
The band includes Corea’s RTF bandmates Stanley Clarke on double bass and Lenny White on drums, along with Hubert Laws on flute, George Benson on guitar, and Bill Watrous on trombone.

For pure energy, it doesn’t get much better than this…having Watrous, Laws and Benson on this classic tune was a bonus. Thanks for posting this and letting me jam with the greats! (I noticed a substitution Clarke played that I’d never heard before, too.)
