Fender Reintroduces Jaguar Bass

Fender is once again shipping the Jaguar Bass, which was discontinued last year. Originally introduced in 2006, the Fender Deluxe Jaguar Bass now comes in three finishes: 3-Color Sunburst, Candy Apple Red, and Cobalt Blue.

Fender Jaguar Bass Cobalt Blue

The Jaguar bass features an alder body, a C-shaped maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. Aged white pearloid block inlays pay homage to the style of yesteryear while serving as solid position markers.

A pair of vintage-style single coil Jazz bass pickups are included with active and passive circuits. The switching system is back, with on/off slide switches for each pickup on the lower horn and a series/parallel slide switch. The upper horn holds an active/passive slide switch and dual active-circuit tone control wheels for adjusting treble and bass.

Fender Jaguar Bass Sunburst

The Fender Deluxe Jaguar Bass has an MSRP of $1,099.99. For more info, visit the Fender website.

  8. Pete Friedlander

too bad the headstock doesn’t match the body color like the older fender jag basses did….

  9. Zsolt Váradi

*NERD ALERT* the pickups on the blue one are in the 70s position (4″ apart) and on the sunburst on the 80s position (3,6″) so what gives?

    • I figured it out. The sunburst must have been an old one before they discontinued it? I looked alot into it and it looks like the slightly older ones had the 80’s position on the pickups. Odd that they would change it.

  10. are they made in the US or mexico?

  11. Hopefully Japan, Like the original.. I Love My Original..

  12. I wish it came in a five string…

  13. Fender finally found some blue paint? Too little too late Fender. You and George Lucas are no longer getting my money.

  14. Just got one. It growls real nice.
