Lamb of God/Dethklok Headlining Tour Cancelled

Lamb of God / Dethklok TourThe co-headlining tour between metal giants Lamb of God and Dethklok with support from Gojira has been cancelled due to Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe’s continued incarceration in the Czech Republic. The tour, which was to feature low-end goodness from Lamb of God’s John Campbell, Gojira’s Jean-Michel Labadie, and Bryan Beller (aka Dethklok’s Murderface), has no plans to reschedule at this point.

“The band’s co-headline tour with Dethklok scheduled to begin August 1st in Seattle is being cancelled,” Lamb of God said in a statement. “The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December.”

“I’m heartbroken for the fans who were looking forward to the shows, and also sad for the hardworking crews of Dethklok, Lamb Of God and Gojira who were busting their asses to make this the best metal tour of the summer,” Beller said in an email. “And especially for the guys in Lamb Of God and Randy Blythe in particular, who are all in an extremely difficult situation. My thoughts go out to the whole LOG family for some kind of resolution as soon as possible.”

Beller went on to say Dethklok’s third album is still slated for a Fall release with a tour to support it.
