Rock supergroup The Dead Daisies has announced that Darryl Jones will be joining their ranks for an upcoming UK tour. The renowned bassist, who also plays for The Rolling Stones, will be filling in for regular bassist Marco Mendoza who will be performing with Thin-Lizzy spinoff The Black Star Riders. The rest of current Dead Daisies lineup includes former INXS vocalist Jon Stevens, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Charley Drayton, Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed and guitarist David Lowy.

“Really looking forward to heading out to the UK in November and touring alongside Black Star Riders,” Lowy stated on the band’s Facebook page. “We’ll miss playing with Marco, but we’re all glad he’ll still be on the same tour! I’d also like to to welcome Darryl Jones to the band. If you’re in the UK, make sure you get down to one of the shows!”
