Bass of the Week: This Padalka Ennea Moonglide Bass Blends Fretted and Fretless for a Unique Playing Experience

Padalka Guitars Ennea Moonglide Bass

The Padalka Guitars Ennea bass features some incredible sculpting on the body. Our bass of the week is the Ennea Moonglide, a five-string version of the model with a cool finish and features.

It’s built with a white ash body, set-in flame maple and bubinga neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is partially fretted and partially fretless. Padalka installed the first five frets across the neck, with the sixth and seventh frets stopping before the B and E strings.

The pickups are an Aguilar AG 5M and a J-HC, with the single-coil interestingly slanted along the end of the fingerboard. Padalka matched the pickups with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Finally, Hipshot hardware brings it all together.
