“Virtually Unlimited Channels”: Markbass Unveils the MB Pro Bass Mixer

Markbass MB Pro Bass Mixer

Markbass has announced they will soon be shipping the MB Pro Bass Mixer, a three-channel mixer that fits on your pedalboard. The versatile unit has separate controls for each channel, including Gain, Volume, Hifizer, and Old School Filters. Channels 1 and 2 can be routed to either output 1 or 2, and all three channels can be toggled on or off with independent footswitches.

Channel 3 sets itself apart with a combination 1/4-inch and XLR input for plugging in a microphone. It also has switchable 48V phantom power to accommodate condenser mics.

“And should you need virtually unlimited channels, you can connect the Out 1 and Out 2 of one PRO BASS MIXER to another, giving you ultimate flexibility,” Markbass adds.

The Markbass MB Pro Bass Mixer will be available soon with a TBD price point.

I give. Why would anyone need one of these? What problem does it solve?

Maybe it allows you to plug in the three basses you brought to a gig so you wouldn’t have to change cabling. Maybe it allows your 3-bass band to plug in all three basses into one pedal board.

I just fail to see the point. I think MB engineers have too much free time on their hands.
