Megadeth Shares New Track “I Don’t Care” From Final Album, Driven by James LoMenzo’s Rumble

Megadeth fans have been eagerly awaiting the band’s upcoming and final album, which is scheduled for release on January 23rd. After dropping the first single in October, we’re getting another sneak peek with a new song called “I Don’t Care.”
“Part of the main riff in this track had been floating around in my head since we did [The Sick, The Dying… and the Dead!], so I was pumped to start recording ‘I Don’t Care’ for this LP,” says bandleader Dave Mustaine. “I really love the guitar nuances in the track. There is the main rhythm riff, next, a very deliberate down-picking part, next, the octave chords with jump picking on octave notes (while still down-picking!). And the soloing and back and forth between me and Teemu is magnificent!!”
The new track throws it back to their earlier thrash and punk vibes with a music video focusing on skate culture. The song begins with James LoMenzo‘s rumbling bass, which provides the pounding rhythm for everything to rest on.
Megadeth’s upcoming self-titled album is available for pre-order on CD, vinyl, cassette and as a digital download (Apple Music, and Amazon Music).
