Sire’s High-End F10, ESP’s NAMM Drop & Lettuce’s Erick Coomes Lead This Week’s Top 10
This week on No Treble, readers responded to the bass gear news that continues to roll out from the 2026 NAMM Show.
Our most-read story this week was on the expansion of Sire’s F10 series. While the company is known for budget-minded basses, the F10 represents the higher end of things. The new F10 DX presents a single-cut body shape with either headless or standard necks. It’s fitted with a spalted maple top, Marcus Custom-H Revolution pickups, and the Marcus Heritage-3 HD preamp. The F10 DC is a double-cut body topped with rosewood.
ESP rolled out eight new basses at NAMM Show spread among three model types: the B bass, the Phoenix, and the Surveyor. Each of the LTD basses retail for $549 and have common features including a poplar body, poplar burl top, and roasted maple neck.
Next, we got in the pocket with Lettuce bassist Erick Coomes. The clip of “Breathe” came from the Capitol Theatre on January 31st. As Jody explains, Coomes “settles in on bass and lets the groove do the talking as Lettuce leans into a mix of jazz R&B with a clear reggae sway underneath it all.”
Other top features include lesson on minor progressions from Ryan Madora, our bass of the week by Beardly Customs, and much more.
