MonoNeon and GHOST-NOTE Deliver Wild 2019 “Smack Em” Performance
Here is a newly released performance from 2019 that is well worth your time. GHOST-NOTE brought MonoNeon out as a guest at a festival in Bulgaria, and the result is exactly what you would hope for.
The clip opens with nearly two minutes of solo bass from MonoNeon. He is playing the same trusty Lakland that helped put him on the map, and this performance is a good reminder why. When the band finally drops in, the energy jumps immediately. The groove locks hard, the drums and percussion start swirling, and the whole thing turns into a deep pocket workout.
It is loose and funky. If you are into fearless bass playing that still honors the pocket, this one delivers.
