MonoNeon Releases Joyful Live Version of “Better Days Are Coming”

MonoNeon has turned one of his most electrifying recent performances into a live track for everyone to hear. This new version of “Better Days Are Coming” was recorded during a concert in Sofia, Bulgaria, and brings the song into a new dimension.
The original track was released earlier this year on This Dirt Loves Me More Than You as a duet between the bassist and his Grandma Liz. “Rather than replacing his grandma’s voice, his voice extends her presence, bridging the original duet with a fresh southern-soul space on the live recording,” a press release explains.
It also widens the sonic space with his band, which features keyboardist Dominique Xavier, drummer Jackie Whitmill, and guitarist Peter Knudsen. Their chemistry is palpable as they open up the song’s form for exploration, including a monstrous and joyful bass solo.
