Alex Polydoroff Handles Electric and Upright Bass Duties with Jesús Molina
Jesús Molina and his band took the stage at Jazz Open in Stuttgart, Germany for a full set that blends Latin, fusion, and jazz flavors.
Alex Polydoroff is on bass and covers a lot of ground in the set. He switches between upright and electric bass while locking in with Cain Daniel on drums. On electric, he is playing a BassMods 5 string through a Gallien Krueger bass head and cabinet. The tone is huge and think, perfect for this progressive style.
There are plenty of great moments throughout the performance, including a beautiful cover of Chick Corea’s “Spain.”
