Matthew Garrison Releases Second Track from “12 Months”

Matthew GarrisonMatthew Garrison has released the second track of his 12 Months project, entitled “Atmosphere 2”. The experimental bassist is unveiling one track per month, culminating in the release of the 12 track-album, about 10 months from now. If that’s not cool enough, you can also buy the tracks with revisions of the tunes. If you buy each track for two dollars, you get two additional revisions of the arrangements as well as the CD for the cost of shipping.

In addition to his 12 Months project, Garrison is working on the follow-up to his Shapeshifter Live 2010- Part 1 album. The CD is a live one-man performance that incorporates loops, computers, rearranged compositions and open improvisation. Matthew told us that he is currently in his studio working on the details of the Part 2 performance/recording now and that “recording should take place some time early next year and will be released within a month or two at the most after that.”
