Rex Brown Leaves Arms of the Sun

Rex BrownEx-Pantera bassist Rex Brown has issued a statement saying that he has parted ways with his latest project, Arms of the Sun.

“To all the friends & fans, I have left the Arms of the Sun project,” the bassist shared. “I wish them well & Godspeed!!! Good luck brothers!!!”

There is still no word of a replacement bassist for the Dallas/Fort Worth based band.

The announcement comes just as Arms of the Sun is finishing up their debut album, produced by Terry Date. The group formed early 2010, and played a handful of shows around the Texas area, and a performance at Winter NAMM 2011. Remaining members include vocalist/guitarist Lance Harvill, guitarist Ben Bunker and drummer John Hebert.
